My favorite and most-played mud is called MUME, or Multi-User's Middle Earth.It is a mud based on the Tolkien world, and is very aimed at realism and somewhat roleplaying, although there is a very advanced class and pkill system.You can play either a 'whitie'(Humans, elves, dwarves, or hobbits) or a 'darkie' (trolls, orcs, or black numenoreans).The whities kill the darkies on sight and vice versa.I personally think it is a _very_ well done mud, and if you are thinking of playing one, go here.The address is oceana.org 4242, or if that is not working try wildsau.idv.uni-linz.ac.at 4242.

This excellent game is fun and addicting!
My friend stayed up til 6:00 a.m. to win the game one night!It seems to me that multiplayer is funner than solo (of course!)I've been playing both my Sorcerer (Fantasy; level 24) and my Warrior (Plato; level 26).
Nice people that have helped me so far:
A nice fellow named Matroxx helped me get to level 6, what a nice guy.He made a nice impression of the need for us all to help the lowbies.Ive gotten some equipment, and raced up to level 15 :) wheeeeee.I wish battle.net hadn't been down for the last day.
